Mental Health and Wellbeing

AIM: To have a positive impact on the health and well-being of all pupils and staff so that they have improved resilience and quality of life.

A mental disorder, also called a mental illness or psychiatric disorder, is a behavioral or mental pattern that causes significant distress or impairment of personal functioning. Mental disorders are usually defined by a combination of how a person behaves, feels, perceives, or thinks. We aim to ensure awareness of mental health and wellbeing for students, staff and parents and also improve the strategies we have to identify and deal with mental health concerns. We also aim to develop an environment for students and staff that promotes mental health and well being.
