SUMMER EXAM RESULTS 2019
Improved results at Caludon Castle School
Caludon Castle School is celebrating improved GCSE results this year.
Of those students who gained nine GCSES, one achieved all nine GCSEs at the highest possible grade (9) and one with eight at grade 9.
In total, four students achieved eight or more GCSEs at grade 8 and 9 and a further student gained seven GCSEs at this outstanding level.
There has been an increase in the number of students who secured grade 7 across their subjects.
Over two thirds of students gained passes (4+/C+) in both English and Maths and nearly half achieved strong passes (5+).
English maintained excellent outcomes with 80% of students achieving at least a pass grade once again this year.
Notable successes were seen in the Humanities subjects and French.

POST 16 RESULTS 2019
Caludon Castle School celebrates a 100% pass rate
We are delighted with the performance of our sixth form students. Once again we have 100% pass rate at A-level with an increased A*-B rate of 55%.
We were particularly pleased with the results of our students studying Biology, Psychology and Maths and the excellent performance of boys overall.
Our value added score is again positive, demonstrating good progress and our students continue to perform well at AS level, with a 94% pass rate and 47% A*-B grades.
The school highlighted the achievements of several students.
Michael Prentice, who is set to commence a Maths degree, achieved four A* grades in Maths, Physics, Computer Science and Further Maths, with a Distinction in the Advanced Extension Award in Maths.
Priyanka Bhakta achieved A* grades in Psychology and Biology and an A in Chemistry and is going to study Medicine at Sheffield University.
Joe McFadden achieved A* in Maths, A in Physics and Distinction* in Music, and is going to study Mechanical Engineering at Sheffield.
Dominique Taylor-Dowson achieved A grades in History, Philosophy and ethics and English literature and is going to study Theology of religion at Oxford.
