EXAM RESULTS: A Level Results 2023

While teenagers up and down the country nervously open their A-Level results, we at Caludon Castle are delighted with the outcomes gained by the class of 2023 who impressively matched the achievements of our previous best pre-covid achievement. After years of studying and months of revising, our students have finally experienced examination in the way last seen pre-covid and we can say that they have certainly done themselves, parents and carers and indeed Caludon Castle extremely proud.

Some of our highest achievers include; (Hannah Kaja-Housa who gained A,AA and has secured a place at the University of Cambridge; Aimee Kelly achieved 3As and an A and will commence her studies in Speech and Language therapy at Sheffield University. She will be joined by Sophia Fiddick who after gaining A, A, A, B has decided to pursue a course in Bioengineering. With his 3 As and A grade, Cadan Hadley will be off to the University of Warwick to study Biomedicine; Mia Horton is furthering her interest in Sociology and is heading up the road, to the Birmingham University. She will be closely followed by Elyza Matthews who has also chosen this destination as her preferred choice to study Medicine. Imperial College London, will gain Yuxuan Lin to study Maths having achieved 3As and a B; Maria Sanchez has opted to go further afield and is heading to Bournemouth to study Animation Production having gained 2As and a D in her studies. Finally, AJ Detubio has elected to take a rest from academia and is taking a gap year having achieved 4 A grades.

As a Sixth Form, our vision is to provide opportunities that ‘open doors’ and therefore, we aim to provide packages that best suit individual needs, allowing each to achieve to their full potential so students are able to progress on a path that permits personal success. The positive outcomes of this approach can easily be seen in achievements that have been secured. This means that many of our students will be progressing onto their first-choice destination.

On reflecting on these and all the other results, Ms Kenrick, The Headteacher, said: “The results that have been secured show the power of collective work and a strength of Caludon Castle. We have found it a pleasure working with this cohort of young people and feel privileged to be able to celebrate in their successes”.

Whether our students opt to ‘open doors’ to progress onto degree programmes, apprenticeships or employment, we wish them all the best for their futures and thank them for having chosen to be part of the Caludon Castle family. We look forward to hearing all the amazing things they achieve in the future.
