KS3 CONCERT: The CBSO at Symphony Hall

Yesterday the music department took 47 year 7 students to visit Symphony Hall in Birmingham to watch a performance by the CBSO.

The CBSO provides annual concerts at Symphony Hall for KS3 pupils. These concerts feature the whole of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, an amazing spectacle itself, but in the awe inspiring surroundings of Symphony Hall these concerts are sure to have a lasting impact on the pupils that attended.

This concert provided pupils with a snapshot of orchestral repertoire, introduced by an experienced presenter, and showcased the different sections and instruments of the orchestra, through a range of orchestral music from the classical era to the sounds of today – ensuring that there really was something for everyone!

“It was great to see and hear the Avengers music being played by a live orchestra – I’ve never seen a real orchestra before” said Jennifer 7.10
