A huge well done, from Mrs Howell, the English Faculty, and the students leaders for all of the wonderful entries to the NATIONAL POETRY DAY ‘TRUTH’ COMPETITION. We were very impressed, but two in particular, really excited us for their originality and flair.
The winners are: Libby Castano for her excellent poetry writing skills, and wonderful narrative poem about travelling through space and discovering the truth on earth! And our second winner, is Lowen Moseley for her philosophical outlook on the theme of truth; Lowen’s poem personified truth and lies, and impressed all of the judges with the sophisticated ideas in it.
We then had two runners-up: Dora Wheatley and Imogen Seaton. Well done to both of you for your entires.
Every entry will get a post card home and the winners and runners-up need to come and collect their prizes next week, from Mrs Howell’s office or room (S8).
Thank you everyone for your hard work and interesting ideas.
