MUSIC: Kamilla receives the Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholarship Award

Kamilla Fernandes, a Year 13 student at Caludon Castle School in Coventry, has had the amazing news this week that she is to be the only student in the country to be awarded the Andrew Lloyd Webber scholarship for 2019 at ArtsEd in London.

This means she will be following in the famous footsteps of well known alumni including Julie Andrews, Nigel Harman and Bonnie Langford as she takes her place at Arts Educational Schools (ArtsEd).

At ArtsEd she will take a BA(hons) in Musical Theatre, and with the award of the scholarship Kamilla will have all her course fees paid.

She currently studies Drama, Music and Biology at Caludon Castle and is all set to achieve grade As and A*s. She is head girl and continues to be a positive, kind and hardworking young lady. She has been awarded the lead role of ‘Maria’ in the youth production of West side story, this August, at Birmingham Hippodrome.

Head of Sixth form, Ruth Roberts said: “Her voice, presence and watchability is unquestionable and we fully expect to see her name in lights in the future.

“We are so very proud of her, not just because she has uniquely received this award above all others, but because she is a wonderful young person who deserves to see success.”

Congratulations Kamilla! See her amazing talents below:
